Going Emerald mining was on Liz's bucket list

so day one of vacation started out

"Mining for Emeralds"

It was super hot so Liz had to cool off and clean off.

First we went mining to cross it off her list!Creeking!


Slushing! Liz got obsessed and couldn't stop
Jack and Dru bought bucket and got the best stones!

Uncle Debbie didn't want to go but ended up haveing a great time.

Painting bird houses! Very serious work.

We had to get Liz and the boys out to Duke Gardens and the Science Museum. It was hot but we toughed it out and had a good time.
