Our Visit to Chinqua-Penn Plantation

The plantation was a home built around 1926. The stone home is built in a "y" shape to get the best breeze through the windows. The couple Annie Penn and Mr. Bla Bla "can't remember his name" Named the plantation after the ChinQua trees on the property. A blight came through in the 30's and killed most of the trees so they renamed the property by adding Annie's last name and Cinqua -Penn Plantation is now privately owned by a tobacco tycoon and his young beautiful wife. They continue to keep it's art work and the grounds open to the public. They allow weddings too.
Spent half the day walking around Chinqua-Penn Plantation. Beautiful gardens, and fantastic house! Beepa wanted this pot, so Elaine tried to help her. The two of them couldn't budge it.
